A quick Google search will lead you to hundreds of articles about the power of human connection. As human beings, we have an inherent need to connect socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually in our worlds. Connection can lead to increased happiness, feelings of content, inspiration, hope, clarity, self-worth and peace. Maslow's Hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology, originally focusing on a 5 tier model of human needs; physiological, safety, love and belonging, esteem and self-actualization. It is no surprise that right after basic physiological and safety needs, comes LOVE and BELONGING, which in my mind is essentially... CONNECTION. Family, friends, community, trust and intimacy are all pieces that fulfill our love and belonging needs, and are essential for becoming the best one can be.
As a coach, connection takes form through rapport, partnership, and vulnerability with clients. One of my favorite parts of being a coach is sharing each unique journey and being there to support and celebrate the ups and downs along the way! Engaging through intimate conversations, deep work, and emotional risk taking creates powerful connections and meaningful experiences.
Let's C Coaches support and guide clients in building awareness around meeting their basic needs, as well as finding meaningful connections in life, all en route to desired accomplishments and self-actualization.
"[Connection is]…The energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard and valued. When they can give and receive without judgement." - Brene Brown
